Day 01: Addis Ababa City Tour
A city tour of Addis Ababa, Capital city of Ethiopia. We will begin with a visit to the Entoto
Mountain to enjoy the scenic beauty of the city and the surrounding countryside. Then, drive to
National Museum that houses great collection of paleontological finds including the famous
Lucy and historical artefacts and paintings. We will conclude our city tour by paying a visit to
the Trinity Cathedral- the second highest ranking church in Ethiopia and the final resting place
of Emperor Haile Selassie.

Day 02: Addis Ababa-Bale Mountains
Drive to Bale. Upon arrival at Dinsho, a Head Quarter for Bale Mountains National Park, a short
hike through the woodland to spot the endemic Mountain Nyala and Menelik Bushbuck as well
as Warthogs, Bohor Reedbuck and Olive Baboon. We will also expect to see many higher
elevation endemic bird species including Rouget’s Rail, Thick-billed Raven, Blue-winged Goose,
White-backed Tit, Spot-breasted Plover, Abyssinian Catbird, Abyssinian Ground Thrush, and
Black-winged Love Bird. Late afternoon, drive to Harena Forest via Sanette Plateau, a habitat of
rolling grasslands and moorland, punctuated with often dense pockets of the giant Lobelia and
carpets of everlasting flowers.

Day 3: Harena Forest- Sanette Plateau- Harena Forest
After an early breakfast head onto the picturesque Sanette Plateau. The star of Sanette Plateau
undoubtedly is the Ethiopian Wolf-the rarest canid in the world hunting the abundant rodent
population including the Giant Mole rat. Apart from serving as the wolves’ food, the high
abundance of rodents (13 species) in the area attracts many species of raptors including the
steppe eagle, tawny eagle, black eagle, golden eagle and augur buzzard. The nearby Tullu Dimtu
peak at 4377 m is the second highest summit in the country next to Ras Dashen. Afternoon,
back to Harena Forest for a short hike. Harena is the second largest forest in the country and
the highest cloud forest. The forest is home to the endemic Bale Monkey, the endangered
Black-manned Abyssinian Lion, Giant Forest Hog, Colobus Monkey and forest birds.

Day 04: Harena – Fly Back to Addis Ababa
After breakfast transfer to Robe to fly to Addis Ababa. Afternoon, souvenir shopping or be at
leisure. Use of day room. You will have farewell cultural dinner with traditional music before
heading onto the airport for final departure.
