Day 1: Arrival/Arusha
Arrived at Kilimanjaro International airport. You will be met by our representative with the guide and
transferred to Lake Duluti Serena/Moivaro Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National park
Leave the lodge at 7.15am in the morning and drive via Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive. The
park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley
floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge
swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s
dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. After
the game drive you will drive to Sangaiwe Lodge / Simba Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tarangire National park – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for a village tour at Mto WA Mbu town, then continue to Manyara
wildlife camp for lunch. Mto WA Mbu is a small but very busy town where people that belong to all the 120
different tribes of Tanzania live together. This easy but very exciting walk will give you an opportunity to
interact with the local people and learn a lot about their daily life.
In the afternoon depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara national park. This park is one of the most diverse
reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great
Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the
Soda Lake. We enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense
woodlands and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350
species of bird. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree-climbing lions. After great exploration in
the lake Manyara National Park you will drive to Manyara Luxury Escarpment Lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Day 4: Escarpment Luxury Lodge – Ngorongoro Crater - Ndutu
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive to Ngorongoro crater. After check in you
descend down 600 meters into the crater for a full day game drive. Supported by a year round water supply and
fodder, the Ngorongoro crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra,
buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national
park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive
leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow
alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of
flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. After lunch you leave the crater and head
towards the Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa –
the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. After an
early lunch you ascend the crater and head to Ndutu, with a short stop on a traditional Maasai village (if
interested) then continue with game drive enrooted to Ndutu. Ndutu is the area between South east Serengeti
and North West Ngorongoro where the great migration will be from December to late April for the calving
season. This short grassland area has highly nutritious grass due to the minerals found in the area and it is where
the wildebeests calving occur in February. It is one of the very few places in the parks where off-road game
driving is permitted and the best place to see hunting cats (lions and cheetahs). Other animals in the place
include hyenas, warthogs, elephants, giraffes and many more. You will drive to Serengeti Mbugani
Camps/Karibu Camps Ndutu for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day Game drive in Ndutu
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Ndutu area exploring the great migration while looking for hunting
lions and cheetahs. This area has got a lot of big cats during this season and many with cubs because it is time
for plenty of food. The area is also famous for photography during the calving season. You will therefore enjoy
this opportunity and for the entire day. You can break the day into two or three sessions to go back to the
accommodations and then proceed with game drives or have one full day. All meals and overnight will be
at Serengeti Mbugani Camps/Karibu Camps Ndutu
Hot Air balloons can be arranged for those who would like to inquire.
Day 6: Ndutu – Serengeti National Park
You will have an early game drive in Ndutu and then after drive back to the lodge for breakfast and check out
from the camp. You will drive to the central Serengeti area, known as the Seronera, one of the richest wildlife
habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and
therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will have a full day game
drive in the area. Evening drive to Karibu Camps/Tanzania Bush Camps/Mbugani Camps for dinner and
overnight.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park Full Day
Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti plains. You will rise early to enjoy an early morning game drive.
At sunrise, you may encounter animals grazing in the beautiful light of sunrise and predators may still be busy
hunting before retiring to rest for the day. Sunrise on the Serengeti is not to be missed and extraordinary
photographic opportunities will abound at this magical time of day. You have the option to return to your
accommodation for a hot lunch or to opt for a packed lunch which can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites found in the Serengeti. After lunch, you will continue on a game drive. Around the time of dusk be on the lookout for lions.
Cheetah can also be spotted on the plains in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are not too
high. They rely on daylight and speed to catch their prey. Hippo pods can be seen in the bigger pools and rivers
while crocodiles can be seen sunning themselves on the riverbanks. You will return to camp in time to enjoy a
sundowner before your evening meal. Dinner and overnight at Karibu Camps/Tanzania Bush
Camps/Mbugani Camps.
Day 8: Serengeti National Park Full Day
You will rise early to enjoy an early morning game drive. At sunrise, you may encounter animals grazing in the

of day. You have a packed lunch which can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites found in the Serengeti.
Late afternoon or evening you drive to Karibu Camps/Tanzania Bush Camps/Mbugani Camps for dinner
and overnight
Day9: Fly out
